This swing wont go higher Daddy!

So its about 2 weeks since my last post, things have been going ok, my game is there at times and at other times im playin really bad, my BR on Paddypower poker was around about $1,600 i think when i last posted and would you believe it, its on about $1,600 STILL!!! and this is after about $3000 has been spent on games between STTs and MTTs!!! Feckin disgraceful really, i got it up to $1,900 and then woooooo down to $900 then up to $1,700 and weeeeeeee down to $1,200 ..its enough to make a grown man sit down ! To be honest i've been acting the prick, not takin the game serious at times and its costin me cash, its as if ive settled for my BR and now just teasing with the game. I should be steadily growing but ill explain where i think its going belly up later in the post....but still not bad from the €50 deposit (still though...)



Due long boring report:

Last thurdsday i played in Longford Poker 's regular $30 MTT with 32 runners, it was just one of those nights where......things went my way !! Have to say it felt good when all my good hands held up , and not even the high pair ones, every AK (actually had about 4) held up in big pots where i would punish the 4 limpers with a big raise and one would decide to try push me off with an all in , not an usual play at that tournament (grrr) with as expected a silly lookin Q 9o , on another night the flop would have been Q99 but not this night. Even my AQ won a big race against 88, so i got momentum and the cards kept flowing, soon i got my stack from $6,000 up to $20,000 and was sharing the lead with a dangerous player Seamus (a hoy hoy!) , things kept goin my way and the only major hand i lost was after the break when we were down to 2 tables, there was a couple of limpers (raise people!!!!) and i look down to find AQ of spades, now i think this has to be good here so of course i pump it up, so my preferred raise is 3 x BB and one BB for every limper so about 6 times the BB here to get heads up or take it here,the blinds were at 1,000/2000 i think, a local woman (who calls waaaay too much) calls here but thats ok, i really feel A high is winnning, at the start of the hand i had about 90,000 and she had about 30,000+ flop comes all rags, she checks and now i know im winning, i bet enough to put her all in, she dwells, she dwells, and finally calls turning over KJ, turn was a blank but the river brought her the Jack and won a pot of over 70K , but that was ok, it was my first good hand that didnt hold up (but a very big pot!!) anywho, made it to the final table where i got beat up pretty badly, hands that come to mind was catching a 10 high flush on the turn only for another club on the turn forcing me to fold (turns out he made a full boat on the river of all things) , then a strange hand occurred , really shows the danger of Seamus and the power of position on a player

Blinds are 2000/4000, player UTG goes all in for 7000, his range is very wide, A2 is a monster etc. Im in MP and look down at AJ, now i dont like AJ at all really cause IMO against a field of decent players, its not ahead of alot of hands (id love advice on this!) , anyway with AJ i feel i could be in great shape against mr all in and with the blinds why not take him heads up, so i make it 24,000 to play, seamus directly to my left, looks at me, thinks about it, messes with his chips and announces "with another 120,000 im all in"..BOLLOX ! folded to me , he has me covered, or well crippled, TBH i nearly folded instantly (which is never right) but i couldnt find a range of hands he would do this with i was in good shape aginst and after long diliberation i folded but couldnt believe what he turned over....5 5 !!! The cheeky bastid!! Ive played with Seamus for few years now and that really surprised me, he might have a tell on me (actually...HE MIGT HAVE SEEN MY CARDS!!!!) but 99 times out of 100 he would simply call my raise and try hit his set...foochin AJ , he did see me fold it earlier from the BB to a raise, and an all in very fast so maybe he took advantage of it...but anyway UTG turned over KJ and low and behhold it was a J high flop ! Oh well, ok im going on a it here but my stack went up and down but with 5 left i took a stance with my pocket 4's and got a caller by AK and my hand held up, then quickly i have to mention an incredible hand, with 4 left and top 3 gettin paid the stacks were failry even, 3 of us on just over 100k and seamus was on 200k, blinds were 5000/10,000, UTG limped (really bad play 4 ways!) , i looked down at A 10 of hearts and insta pushed, all folded to limper (who was the guy who had AK vs my pocket 4's) , he dwelled and dwelled , this was the furthest he ever got and the fact it cost him all his chips he started bottling and said "I just know you have a pocket pair" and then he folded showmin me......AK of diamonds!!!!!!!! LOLOLOLOL!!! no one could believe it! I got a lifelin and he went bust 2 hands later and i came 3rd for a $300 night...Seamus of course took 1st for $700 and have to say he played a good game (esp cause he got in for free having hit a ROYAL FLUSH the week before and got a free entry for best hand of the night, surprise surprise!)

Anyway long post that sorry, online has been a funny oul world, It seems to change from day to day, one day im bored seneless of STT's and play like a complete donkey and love my MTTs and then the nixt day its Vice versa, and play like a drunk donkey on crack , so some days my STT's are payin for my MTTs and other days my MTTs are payin for my STTs !

I came 4th in a nast ass speed tournament for $450 last week (oh i hate them) , and fucked up BIG TIME 2 nights in a $36 MTT with 187...oh i couldnt sleep after it ...heres my final hand (things had went perfect for me throughout the tournament and i felt very comfortable at the table and had my sights on 1st places $1,800 for sure). there was TEN left and one or 2 players with less thank a foochin BB , everyone was just folditty folding till then went bust so we could get the final table going..all was calm, all was sweet..then here comes BP! The donkey, now it was 5 o clock in the morning of the 27th March (which BTW is me Birthday!) but anywho...

MP raises 3 x BB to 3,600, hes on about 65K and 2nd in chips, im on about 45K and 3rd in chips, I call in SB with KQ of clubs (i dont know whether this is correct or incorrect for the exact reason of what happend), flop comes Q high, i bet about 6,400 to see where he goes with it, he calls, turn comes a blank....and i .......wait for it........go .......all.......IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF are my at...for $300 someone please name a hand he will call me with?? JJ nope! 10 10 nope! anything below..nope! (unless theyhit their set of course)...so....WHY THE F**K GO ALLIN!! Oh ..he surprise surprise called with QQ and the uselss K on the river makin my 2 pair no good... culdnt figure out was i destined to go bust in this hand... my only 2 ways of not going bust

1/ fold preflop..too tight? Senseable fold takin the current *situation* into account (bubble Final Table time)

2/ he raise me all in on the turn *had i bet small or chekced* and i can then fold, as the K on the river would have made me go broke anyway as i might have been pot commited??

I dunno, either way i just sat there stunned that i was gone, tyoed "Oh im an idiot" in the chat box and went to bed ..oh yeh won $110's i think LOL you can keep it! Great start to the birthday!

One great thing that came out of it was meetin a player at one of the table, Napsaa or sumin, he introduced me to www.holdemradio.com a great site that is only new enough, he is affiliated with them and runs his own site called www.allinmafia.com which i have now joined, they were interviewing Greg Raymwar on the radio (who was at the time playin in the $1000 MTT on stars which he came 2nd in out of 1500 runners..WP) and afterwards Wade the presenter said a big Hello to BP from Ireland, they have a chat box thingy at the radio and i was chattin to them all night, was great fun and am lookin forward to playin with these guys online on sundays!

So that was me bust in 10th and last night i went bust in 11th (im gettin worse i tell ya!) Actually messed up bad last night with a huge chip lead with only 2 tables left i managed to blow alot of it with AK vs QQ and AQ vs AK ..oh well not alot you can do and with only a few BB's left i took a chance with KJ against a button raise who had 88 and i didnt connect! Oh well, least im makin it "deep" even in these shallow number tourneys

as you can see the $100 STTs are beatin me, their more aggressive than the $50 STT's (which is defo my comfort zone) I need to stop playin them until i i feel ready and my BR is at least double, also i need to stop playin so many "Ah ill have a quick game" ones as i ALWAYS go bust the same way, with a medium pocket pair, wether im racin or not, i need to cut back on them as they chip away at the BR than i have to play a heads up to get it back (which i feel veryconfident about at the moment, my heads up game i mean)

oh and dont worry, the cash game where i brought over $1000 to the table was a $.05c/$0.10 7 card stud game as its a game im startin to like alot now but am completely useles sin (ahem...see first post LOL)


Im due a good win in a MTT soon and also on every imprtant thing, im going to move "Skin" soon but stay on the Tribecca network as PPP dont have any rake back deals and im spending alot cash i Reg fees every week, Cashmecall introuduced me to someone who will give me a good rakeback but i need to move my funds first ! That will be some nice change every month..i bet ill be very surprised to find out exactly how much ive been starving myslef off every month!

Thats all for now..wow my hand is nearly broken from typing!! But my goal before next pot is 100% to cut out those games where im playin for the wrong reasons and not with a focused mind as when i play these games, i really am a fish little fish!!
